product CARE

your order is thoughtfully packaged, but will need some extra love once you get it — here's how to care for it.

unpack your piece

01

unpack your piece

UNPACK YOUR FIBER ART UPON RECEIVING, CAREFULLY UNWRAPPING. BE SURE NOT TO SNIP OR PULL THE WRONG PIECES.

02

"zhoosh"

YOUR PIECE WILL LIKELY NEED TO BE 'ZHOOSHED' (OR FLUFFED) WHEN IT ARRIVES. GENTLY COMB THE FRINGE OR MISPLACED FIBERS WITH YOUR FINGERS. NEVER PULL ON FIBERS, WET, BRUSH, REMOVE PIECES, TRIM ENDS, ETC.

03

keep it safe

IF YOU'RE READY TO HANG YOUR PIECE UP NOW, JUST SKIP THIS STEP! IF NOT, YOU'LL WANT TO KEEP IT IN A SAFE SPOT UNTIL YOU ARE. YOU CAN HANG TEMPORARILY ON AN 'S' HOOK OR LAY FLAT ON A CLEARED COUNTER.

04

hang it up!

WHEN HANGING YOUR PIECE UP, BE SURE TO USE THE APPROPRIATE SIZE HARDWARE. FOR SMALLER, LIGHTWEIGHT WALL HANGINGS, I RECOMMEND USING A SMALL NAIL TO HANG. ANYTHING LARGER THAN 20-25 INCHES WIDE, USE TWO MEDIUM OR LARGE NAILS (OR SCREWS W/ ANCHORS), DEPENDING ON THE STRUCTURE OF YOUR WALLS.

a lil note

when hanging any woven wall hanging, the depth of the nail sticking out of the wall should be slightly longer than the depth of the dowel, to ensure that the piece fits snug. feel free to reach out for more specific hanging questions!
